Hendricks County

Hendricks County is the first county west of Indianapolis and Marion County. While the residents of Hendricks County are close enough to enjoy all the attractions of Indianapolis, they have some attractions of their own that are worth mentioning.

An Old-Fashioned Diner right on Route 40

Chateau Thomas Winery was established in 1984 and since then has been making outstanding wines from California Vinifera grapes. It has garnered over 200 awards, medals, and ribons in competitions statewide, nationally and even internationally—including international gold medals. The winery can be found right off of I-70 in Plainfield.
