Best View In Southern Indiana

The entire Ohio River was voted Best View in Southern Indiana by our readers. This picture was taken in Perry County.

Winner: Views of the Ohio River

Okay, so maybe this one was a little too wide-open. We got a lot of votes, but no two people voted for the exact same view (we shoulda seen that coming). We did, however, notice a trend in that many of the votes were for different views of the Ohio River—so we're going to name the Ohio River as the winner of this one. You can check out our article about the Ohio River Scenic Route from our November issue if you would like to see more of this beautiful feature of Southern Indiana.

Some of the Scenes of the Ohio that were specifically mentioned were:

Madison - "looking across the river from Madison in the fall"

The view from The Overlook Restaurant in Leavenworth

One reader wrote, "the whole Ohio River Scenic Route offers so many beautiful views."

Another reader voted for "The view of the Ohio River from Verastau in Aurora."

Runner Up:

Other readers voted for views in Brown County State Park. One reader mentioned "the lookout" and another "the north overlook".
