Jasper Civic Auditorium/Krempp Gallery - Adjacent to VU-Jasper Campus, off Highway 162. (812) 482-3070. The Jasper Community Arts Commission offers a season of events, the "Performers Series" and the "Backstage Series," at the Jasper Civic Auditorium. The auditorium is also used year-round for local theater productions, concerts, recitals and community events. The Krempp Gallery, located in the Auditorium, hosts twelve exhibits annually from the local and regional artists to the nationally recognized. Krempp Gallery open noon to 3:00 on Sundays, 10 - 5 Monday through Friday, and until 7 p.m. Thursday evenings.

Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame - VU-Jasper Campus, off Highway 162. (800) 968-4578, (812) 482-2262. www.indbaseballhalloffame.org. Located in the Alvin C. Ruxer Student Center. Collection features unique memorabilia from Indiana high school baseball players and professional players from the Hoosier State. Open campus hours, weekends or by appointment.

Huntingburg Old Town Hall - 309 N. Geiger Street. (812) 683-5699. Newly restored 1887 Italiante structure includes authentic Victorian lighting fixtures. Prearranged thirty-minute tours. Open daily.

Lick Fork Marina - 10306 E. Lick Fork Marina Road, Celestine. (800) 914-2800. Marina rents fishing boats, pontoons and houseboats. Full service marina, gas dock and convenience store. Open year-round.

Ferdinand State Forest - Highway 264, east of Ferdinand. (812) 367-1524. 7,640 acres with primitive campsites, beach, picnic areas, picnic shelters, restrooms, playground equipment, fishing, boat rental, hunting, hiking, foraging and boat ramp (trolling motors only). Open year-round.

Dubois County Courthouse - 1 Courthouse Square, Jasper. (812) 481-7000. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style and completed in 1910. Contains 50,000 bricks from the county's original courthouse. Collection of artifacts from the county's early history in display in lobby. Open Monday - Friday 8-4.

Patoka Lake - Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Rt. 1 Box 290, Birdseye/Main Entrance near Wickliffe. Office: (812) 685-2464. Visitor Center: (812) 685-2447. A 26,000 acre recreation area, Patoka Lake, offers an 8,800 acre lake with campgrounds, a swimming beach and paved biking & hiking trails. Open year-round. Solar -heated Visitor Center offers the Raptor Education Program that includes illustrated displays on wildlife, history, birds of prey, solar energy plus the viewing of a live bald eagle. Patoka Lake Interpretive Center open daily 8:30 - 4:00.

Jasper Historical Walking Tour - Downtown Area, 302 West 6th Street, Jasper. (812) 482-6866. Walking tour includes more than 20 of Jasper's oldest sites. Historic downtown landmarks, St. Joseph Church, several beautiful murals, Jasper's oldest building, and Indiana's only maypole. Approximately two miles long. Dr. Ted's Musical Marvels - US 231, 1/4 mile north of I-64, exit 57, Dale. (812) 937-4250. Guided tours of a magnificent collection of restored mechanical musical instruments that actually play! Nickelodeons, orchestrions, music boxes, street organs and a gift shop. Open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day, weekends in May and September.

Huntingburg League Stadium - 1st and Cherry Streets. (812) 683-2211. This 1894 stadium, was a site used in the filming of the 1992 hit movie, "A League of Their Own," starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis. In 1995, HBO Productions filmed, "Soul of the Game" here. Tours conducted by movie extras and available by appointment.

Dubois County Dragons - 426 E. 4th Street, Huntingburg. (812) 683-4405. The Dragons, members of the Frontier Class A Professional Baseball League, call League Stadium in Huntingburg their home. Season tickets, souvenirs and merchandise available. Over thirty home games played June through mid-August.

Holy Family Church - Highway 162, Jasper's SE side. (812) 482-3076. This modern architectural marvel features the nation's 2nd largest stained-glass window, a window depicting "The Jasper Story" and the longest unsupported wood beam ever used. Open daily until 8 p.m.

St. Joseph Church - 13th & Newton Streets, Jasper. (812) 482-1805. This 1880 Romanesque, old world-style church, is listed on National Register of Historic Places. Includes priceless German stained glass windows; Austrian-designed mosaics with 50 million stones; pewter and marble statues. Open daily 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Monastery Immaculate Conception - 802 E. 10th Street, Ferdinand. (812) 367-1411. The "Castle on the Hill" is home to one of the nation's largest communities of Benedictine women. Guided tours of the majestic domed church, outdoor Stations of the Cross, Lourdes Grotto, Rosary steps and Marian Heights Academy. Monastery gift shop, "For Heaven's Sake" open 10:00 - 4:30 Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30 - 4:00 Sunday. Tours available Tuesday - Sunday. Call for group reservations.
