Less than an hour west of Indianapolis, half-an-hour east of Terre Haute and in the heart of Covered Bridge Country, Putnam County is a great destination for a weekend getaway or longer vacation. Conveniently accessed by I-70, you can get here easily from almost anywhere in the Midwest.

With nine covered bridges to explore, Big Walnut Conservation Area and Lieber State Recreation Area, in addition to the towns of Greencastle, Cloverdale, Bainbridge and Roachdale, there is plenty to do and see.
