Switzerland County, Indiana

Halfway between Cincinnati and Louisville, Switzerland County, Indiana is some of the most beautiful country in southern Indiana. If you drive through the back roads of Switzerland County, discover one-room schoolhouses, historical churches, and picturesque barns. You may chance to see a farmer plowing with his team of horses.

Vevay is a historic river town settled in 1802 by Swiss immigrants relocating from Vevey, Switzerland. The new settlers planted grapes, thus producing the first commercial wine in the United States.
