Glen Miller Public Golf Course - 2514 East Main Street, Richmond. This beautiful 9-hole layout is for golfers of all skill levels. Course combines hills, trees and small greens demanding accurate shots. The addition of a beautiful pond enhances the attractiveness and the challenge of the course. Highland Lake Public Golf Course - Highland Road, Richmond. This 18-hole course offers tournament quality greens and long fairways. Nature

Hayes Regional Arboretum - 801 Elks Road, Richmond. This 355-acre nature preserve contains 172 woody plants native to this region. An 1833 diary barn has been converted into a Nature Center with exhibits and gift shop. Enjoy the bird sanctuary, hiking trails and a 3-mile auto nature drive. (765) 962-3745

E.G. Hill Memorial Rose Garden, The All America Rose Garden and The German Friendship Garden - 2500 National Road East (US 40), Richmond. Centered by a fountain, and dedicated in 1937, the E.G. Hill Memorial Rose Garden honors Richmond's famed Rosarian, Gurney Hill. The all America Garden, with over 1,600 roses, hundreds of colorful annuals and perennials and a lacy victorian gazebo, has been awarded the A.A.R.S. Display Garden designation. Friendship with the German city of Zweibrucken has led to the newly planted Friendship Garden. These gardens are located in Glen Miller Park. Admission is free.

Middlefork Reservoir - Sylvan Nook Drive (off US 27 N), Richmond. Boasting 405 acres, including a 177-acre fishing lake, Middlefork Reservoir offers both fishing and boating. (Lake is stocked by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.) The reservoir has a six horsepower limit. Richmond Parks and Recreation - 2200 National Road E, Richmond. Richmond boasts 1,112 acres of parkland, including Glen Miller Park (194 acres dedicated in 1885). Recreational opportunities include picnicking, tennis courts, ball diamonds, golf, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, an accessible play system, BMX track, natural spring water fountains and more! Whitewater Gorge Park - 2200 National Rd. E, Richmond. Three branches of the Whitewater River converge in a spectacular geological gorge formed during the last ice age. The gorge provides miles of hiking trails with scenic vistas, picnic areas, vertical cliffs and the beauty of Thistlethwaite Falls.
