Linton's 2nd Annual Fall Shoot For those who enjoy a good ol’ shooting competition, The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring their second annual Fall Shoot. This will be a family event with lots of prizes, contests, and there will be no live targets! For those who might have trouble getting their significant others excited about the hunting season, there is even a “Honey, I’m Going Hunting Package” prize, which includes a half dozen fresh roses, a candle and candy, and one free month at Curves for Women, and a gift certificate from the Old Bank & Company Restaurant. There will also be plenty of food, BBQ sandwiches, baked beans, cole slaw, pies and cobblers and drinks. Cost is just $10 and this includes lunch and once chance to enter for door prizes. Door prizes will be given every half hour, and will include Photo History Books from the Linton Daily Citizen, a free day golfing pass, gift certificates and more. Other prizes will be awarded, and basically the more you shoot, the better your chances of winning. For example if you shoot a round of Sporting Clays, you get 4 chances to go in the kitty. If you shoot 5 Stand, you get 2 chances; Doubles/25 pr., 2 chances; Skeet, 1 chance; Wobble Trap, 1 chance; and Trap 1 chance. Prices are varied for each shooting event.
