Visit the charm and allure of a past utopia in Historic New Harmony. Once known as the "Athens of the West", New Harmony has been a favorite place to rejuvenate the spirit for nearly 200 years.

The New Harmony Theatre holds excellent productions from mid-June through August that delight and entertain audiences of all ages.

Camping, boating and hunting opportunities are plentiful in Posey County. Hovey Lake and Twin Swamps Nature Preserve are the most northern bald cypress and other overcup oak slough in the United States. Harmonie State Park has 7.5 miles of hiking/biking trails, 3.5 miles of horse trails and other amenities for the whole family to enjoy.

In nearby Evansville, one can find the Philharmonic, Arts and Science Museum, Professional Ballet Theatre, Mesker Park Zoo, Aztar Riverboat, a nature park and ice skating.
