Sher-E Punjab Hotel, a privileged insider eat in Mount Abu

The hill stations of India are on par with dining options. India’s food served in the positions of smaller shops are lit by Western business issues. Knowing that this is true, I was not ready for the rest of the restaurants in Mount Abu. Maybe it’s the thrill of being only Rajasthan City Mountain Resort, this may be the proximity of Mount Abu Gujarat, which has dozens of traffic from the dry state (without alcohol), or perhaps it’s because visitors to Mount Abu likes to eat (this is true no matter where they walked apparently someone in the group was eating). Luckily I was traveling with a friend who knew exactly where to go for dinner: Sher-E Punjab Hotel.

Sher E Punjab, a term often used by recognizable by abundant restaurants across India. Translated it means “Lion of Punjab”, and refers to a person of the same region. That means faster style of food and Shahi Tandoor meats guests can expect to eat. Punjabi has a reputation for being neat and clean, friendly chefs, qualities that have helped in their popularity in India and to introduce competition with fake chef looking to take advantage of a good name.

Mt Abu Sher-E Punjab Hotel is a bargain. Three dining rooms are located between a lower level, a ground floor outdoor seating area, and finally the top level in the open. This is the place to sit. From here, guests can watch the chef prepare and serve meat from the Tandoor his station down in front of the restaurant. I consider the best card to get ahead of fresh meat coated with spices glittering under the lights. You’ll have to wait or sweet talk the visitor to sit upstairs, when the tables are scarce during the race dinner.

A traditional menu Indian recipe makes more than enough choice of Veg or Non-Veg tourists of Mount Abu. The service is attentive and friendly, and although there is somewhat of a language barrier, no, not in the vocabulary of the servers. My order of baingan bharti Indian boys posted a personnel entering the market to buy fresh eggplant. The classic Sher-E Punjab.

Location: a side street off the main road. Ask for directions.
